Advanced Materials-JTJ is a Founding Member of the Association of the Nanotechnology Industry of the Czech Republic
Representatives of twelve Czech nanotechnology firms founded the Association of the Nanotechnology Industry of the Czech Republic on November 27, 2014 on the premises of the CzechInvest investment promotion agency. It took on the goal of representing the interests of Czech firms and researchers in the field at the national and European levels, in the commercial, research and educational spheres. It seeks in the future to build up the worldwide reputation that the Czech Republic already has and expand a positive understanding of nanotechnology in society. It is also aimed at actively seeking support and opportunities for cooperation between the commercial and the research sectors.

The founding members of the Association are entities from the entrepreneurial sector. Specifically, they are the firms IQ Structures s.r.o., NANOVIA s.r.o., nanoSPACE s.r.o., Advanced Materials – JTJ s.r.o., SPUR a.s., NanoTrade s.r.o., ASIO, spol. s r.o., PARDAM, s.r.o., Výzkumný Technologický Institut s.r.o., HE3DA s.r.o., JIMIPLET, s.r.o. a NAFIGATE Corporation, a.s.
The Technological Center of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (TC AV ČR) has long cooperated with those firms involved in nanotechnology both as a center for national contacts with European programs for research and innovation (the 7th Framework Program, Horizon 2020), and as a center for supporting entrepreneurship and the transfer of technology. In the area of nano, the TC AV ČR has already served as sponsor or partner in a wide range of activities. One good example from the last few years can be found in its support for exhibitions by the firms abroad (joint trade fair exhibits at the Nanotech 2013 and 2014 exhibitions in Tokyo and the EuroNanoForum 2013 in Dublin) and cooperation with the firms in sponsoring information days, independent conferences and seminars (the National Information Day Nanotechnology in H2020, EuroNanoForum 2009, and a workshop Opportunities for Development and Financing of Nanotechnology in the Czech Republic). The TC AV ČR has also founded an Internet portal Nano-Med.cz, which maps out the wide range of universities and academic institutions, as well as clinics, research laboratories and small and medium enterprises focused on transfer of technology in the area of nano-medicine, and which is one means of connecting with the European nano-medical community and the European technological platform for nano-medicine.
The TC AV ČR welcomed the establishment of the Association for the Nanotechnology Industry of the Czech Republic and accepted with pleasure being one of its partners. It decided to provide all-around support for its activities and the Czech Republic is NANO project.
